Pointless Violence

A man angrily points a gun at a woman amid a chaotic, damaged room with broken walls and flying debris; words 'WHY? KRAKA-DOOM! WHY?', 'TENSE SILENCE...', 'CRASH!', 'POINTLESS', 'WASTE', 'EASTE', and 'LOSS' appear around them.

Pointless Violence by Carolyn Crocker

A step in the dark

gray smoke wafting in the heated air

A bang

A cry

anger and blood

A sneer upon the face of the assaulter,

dressed in the cool blackness of the night

A witness

A motive

careless actions

quick resolution to complicated questions

A false prediction proved true

A verdict

A dream forgotten

death by an unknown hand

Blood still stains the mind and heart of others

in the dingy alleyway in which death came.
